A Visit to the Tourism Fair in Belgrade

Another possibility for expanding international cooperation, acquiring
new experiences and promoting FTS Travel of regional plan.
The
delegation of the University of Tourism and Management, Skopje, FTS Travel,
professors and students from the University, led by the Chancellor Ace
Milenkovski, from 24.02 to 27.02.2011, attended the 33rd Tourism Fair in
Belgrade. This is one of the most visited tourism fairs in the Balkans, in which
this year had 900 exhibitors. The Chancellor Ace Milenkovski, at the stand of
Singidinum University of Belgrade, met with the professor Slobodan Unkovikj PhD,
then the representatives of UTMS attended the presentation of the World Tourism
Organization (UNWTO), where the University of Tourism and Management, Skopje is
an associate member. The Chancellor Ace Milenkovski attended the round table of
the National Strategy for Tourism Development of the Republic of Serbia, which
was attended by experts from the tourism industry in the region.

On Saturday, 26/02/2011, arrived the professors Alexandra Stoilkovska and Susanna Dzhamtovska with students from UTMS at the Tourism Fair in Belgrade, which were divided into groups and visited all the stands at the fair. It was an excellent opportunity for students to become familiar with the performance of the companies that were exhibited at the fair from the tourism industry that was practically to enlighten some of the modern trends of the tourism industry as well as to apply the acquired knowledge of UTMS.
To summarize the visit to the Tourism Fair in Belgrade, the Chancellor of UTMS Ace Milenkovski confirmed and enhanced the reestablished contacts and cooperation with regional factors of the tourism business, FTS Travel accomplished another promotion, signed cooperation agreements and opened new opportunities for regional connectivity, and the students from UTMS through this kind of practical teaching, improved their knowledge and experience to enter into the modern tourism industry immediately after graduation.
